Although she is shuttling between Bollywood and regional movies, Asin seems to be landing plump roles in Tamil as well. After her last year hit Kavalan, if rumors are to be believed, Asin might be in the Shankar directed Thalaivan Irukkiran. Speculations are abuzz in the internet that she will play Kamal’s lead in Thalaivan Irukkiran.

It’s also reported that Telugu actor Prabhas, Malayalam superstar Mohanlal and Hollywood star Jackie Chan will also be part of the movie. Produced by Aascar Ravichandran, the movie is in its pre-production stage.

Talking to the press recently, Sarathkumar reminisced how Kochadaiyan came into being a few years ago itself. “Rajinikanth told me a story a few years ago and I still remember it scene by scene. It was a wonderful story and I really wished to work with him but the film did not materialize for some reason. I am happy that I got a chance now in Kochadaiyaan. I am proud to be associated with him,” he stated.

Answering questions on his daughter, Sarath said that he believed Varalakshmi will make it big as an actor. Sarath is now busy in Malayalam movies. His Achande Aan Makkal is due for release. So is the movie History. In Tamil, he has a period film directed by Selvaraj. In the pipeline is a project for Siva of Amma Creations.

Suraaj has titled the Karthi starrer that he is directing right now as Alex Pandian, say sources. The director did not announce the title of this project till date though the shooting commenced last September. But now, sources in the tinsel town say that he has decided to name the film Alex Pandian.

Apparently Alex Pandian is the name of the character that Karthi plays in the film and Suraaj has decided that it would be the apt title. Anushka plays Karthi’s pair in this film. Devi Sri Prasad will be scoring the music for Alex Pandian.

Vikram’s Bollywood film which is to be directed by Bejoy Nambiar has been titled David. In this film, Vikram’s role is said to be very powerful and the director has etched it out perfectly well to suit the hero. Tabu plays his female lead in this film.

For David an epic camera is being put to use to capture the scenes. The camera has a range between 3 and 9 K, say industry sources. According to the film’s director Bejoy Nambiar, the film’s story and Vikram’s role requires such a high definition camera.

With Aishwarya Dhanush and Dhanush deciding on dubbing 3 in Telugu and Hindi as well, the work on this has begun already. The Tamil version is complete with the dubbing also wrapped up. About 50 percent of the dubbing has been completed for the Telugu version too.

However, work on the Hindi version is yet to begin. Sources say that the director is looking to rope in a suitable dialogue writer to pen the Hindi dialogues. Once this is done, the dubbing process for the Hindi film will also start rolling.

There are plans to release this film in all the versions simultaneously.
